Use of Website

GPA Kerala authorizes you to view, print or download any content, graphic, form or document from the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. But you must not change, modify or delete our copyright notice/ watermarks appearing on our material. Unauthorized use of any materials at this Site may violate copyright, trade mark and other proprietary (including but not limited to intellectual property) legal rights of GPA Kerala. Right to Edit, Delete And Modify

We reserve the right to our sole discretion to edit, delete or modify any documents, information or other content in the Site.

OBJECTS

(1)To maintain the honour and dignity and to uphold the interests of the medical profession especially general medical practice and to promote co-operation amongst the members thereof.

(2)To promote and advance modern medical sciences in all their different branches and to pursue the improvement of public health and medical education through the concept of 'General Physician'.

(3)To aid in optimum utilisation of skills of GPs and Specialists and to strengthen the working relationship between them and thereby achieve equality among all members of the profession.



MEMBERSHIP


(1) ELIGIBITY OF THE MEMBERSHIP.

Any person processing license to practice in modern medicine from TCMC or from any other State Medical Councils recognized by the Government of India. Who is a Keralite as proven by a valid photo identity card. The decision pertaining to accepting/ rejecting a candidate's membership is solely the right of GPA Governing body.

(2) CLASSIFICATION OF MEMBERSHIP

Eligible persons who have enrolled through a local branch /postal application/in line application . A suitable subscription fee which is bound to be revised timely under the discretion of the Governing Body, will be collected from such members.

(3) TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP:

Membership of the Association of a member may be terminated in any of the following ways
1.If he ceases to hold qualification as provided in this bye law.
2.On erasure of his name from any of the medical registers, due to misconduct and as punishment (except when his name is removed for nonpayment of renewal registration fee).
3.He being found guilty by a Court of Justice for any offence which involves moral turpitude.
4.By default of receipt of payment of subscription directly or through local branch as the case may be
5.If he submits his resignation by giving 30 days notice in writing to the General Secretary and has paid all the claims of the Association against him
6.In the event of becoming insane
7.By death
8.By the decision of the Internal Disciplinary Committee and Governing Body

(4) SUSPENSION OF MEMBERSHIP

Suspension of members and question of taking such discilinary action as it may deem fit against any member for misconduct, wilfull neglect is at d e f a u l t ; o p i n i o n of district b r a n c h Committee/Local branch committee shall be sought in such matter. Suspension of any member by a local committee/District Committee will be operative only after its being approved by the Internal Disciplinary Committee. Internal Disciplinary committee consisting of 12 State Governing Body Members + District executive officials of which 7 should be present in each meeting, should be formed. A Disciplinary meeting should be called for the purpose of taking disciplinary action and / suspension of the member/ members, after prior information is given to the member/members facing such action and the complainant (if any), to appear in front of the committee. The committee will hear both sides and will arrive at a decision. If the member fails to appear before the committee, the committee has the right to arrive at a decision with available facts or evidence, and the decision of the committee will be binding on everybody which will be conveyed to the State Governing Body and Extra Ordinary General Body Meeting specially conveyed to the state Governing Body and General Body in an ExtraOrdinary General Body Meeting specially convened for this purpose. By this means the concerned member/members shall be suspended for minimum of 14 days or pending investigation period


(5) REINSTATEMENT

A member whose name has thus been removed under Articles No. 4 may be readmitted on the expiry of 6 months or thereafter provided his application for re enrolment is granted by the Governing Body. He must also submit a written apology to the state committee.

(6) SUBSCRIPTION

1.Subscription fee which is Bound to be renewed timely under the discretion of the governing body will be collected from all ordinary Members.

2. All subscriptions are to be collected only via online payment system and no one is entitled or put in charge to collect it in any other means whatsoever. Association shall not be responsible for disputes involving such off record transaction.

3. The subscription fee has been set as 1500 INR for 2 years at present. With effect from January 1st 2022 – the subscription fee will be revised to the following charges and time periods for Ordinary Members:

a) For a period of 2 years: 2000 INR (1000/year)
b) For a period of 5 years: 4500 INR (900/year)
c) For a period of 10 years: 8000 INR (800/year)

REFUND POLICY

There is no refund of membership fee once the membership has been approved. Refund is initiated in cases only where the candidate is not eligible for membership- doesnot have the required medical council registration/ has not submitted proper documents or his membership has been rejected by the GPA governing body. In such cases refund will be initiated within 14 working days by the association.


Applicable Laws

This Site is administered by GPA Kerala at its office in Kerala and is subject to the laws of the India.

Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the other provisions of this Agreement will remain in force.
